In this particular event, GRIT is bringing up to 25 at-risk youths to Arlington National Cemetery. They will visit the USMC Memorial to have an opportunity to talk with us about the military and our challenges as Hispanics. The at-risk youths are young Hispanics from a variety of South and Central American countries. Most of these youths have had run ins with the police or have been sent to GRIT through a church.

I am looking for a few volunteers to join me at the USMC Memorial (Iwo Jima Memorial) on Tuesday 22 July at 1700 to speak to up to 25 at-risk youths from Prince William County and the Cities of Manassas and Manassas Park.

Rich Buchholz is the coordinator for this program.  He was a Virginia State Trooper, now he works for the Commonwealth as a part of GRIT.  ANSO has supported him in the past with mentoring a few of these at-risk youths.
