If you are going to be in the San Diego area, the Navy Recruiting District San Diego has sponsored a booth at the upcoming STEAM Maker Fest on Saturday December 6 2014 from 0900 to 1800 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.  I am calling for volunteers to come help out with a 4 hour shift that day/mid-day/afternoon.  Training will be done the day of (very easy).  Please spread the word throughout your channels.

Timeslots:
0900 to 1300
1200 to 1600
1300 to 1700

We will be demonstrating Navy Science and Technology along with fun hands-on experiments for attendees of all ages (Air rockets, magnetic rail guns, and robots to name a few).  Additionally, we are mentoring the STEM/robotics teams/clubs of 40 different schools and would be a great opportunity to spread our message.

This is a STEM / Maker convention with a TED Talk component.  Fun and crazy inventions, on-site classes, STEM programs, and micro entrepreneurs galore that you can use for your own kids school or your personal nefarious plans of world domination. More info can be found here:
www.steammaker.org

Please email or text me if you are interested and/or have the ability to volunteer for this event.  Please bring your family, especially if your kids have an interest in STEM, or if you WANT them to have an interest in STEM.  You will not be disappointed.  All volunteers AND their families get in for free by signing up with me.

Hope to hear from you all soon.

V/R,
