Friends,

The recent deaths of Sgt. Isaac Palomarez (Loveland, Colorado) in Afghanistan and Sgt. Glen Edward Martinez (Monte Vista, Colorado) in Iraq moved me to write the following perspective on the significance of Memorial Day to the Latino and Latina community. I hope other Latinos/as write their own opinions and share them with our community. We need everyone to read how we feel on this special day.
