Hispanic under-representation in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) is widely recognized as a generational challenge for which there is no quick fix. Created by historical and social elements, this silent national crisis has been slow to capture the attention of the technical community.
The October 2007 Executive Roundtable in San Diego, California, created an opportunity for high-level executive leaders representing industry, government agencies, the military and academic institutions to exchange views on the current and projected technological workforce landscape.
