CDR Jose Saliceti, USCG, Recognized as the First Coast Guard UAS Predator Pilot

CDR Jose A. Saliceti, the Operational Test Coordinator at USCG Systems Commander, Operational Test and Evaluation Force, earned the distinct designation as the first Coast Guard Pilot to earn the MQ-9 Predator MCE Pilot certification. 

CDR Saliceti is originally from Hato Rey, Puerto Rico.  He enlisted in the Coast Guard over 25 years ago and served three years in the enlisted ranks (AM2) before attending Officer Candidate School.  He has been a CG Pilot for over 17 years.  In addition to his many duty stations, including Air Station Borinquen, Puerto Rico and Airstation Houston, Texas, CDR Saliceti is a recipient of the Coast Guard Air Medal for heroic actions while serving as a pilot.  CDR Saliceti is currently enrolled in a PhD program, and holds a masters in Aerospace Management, Aerospace Operations, and Aerospace Industrial Safety from Embry-Riddle University.
