As Hurricane Irma barrels through the Caribbean with an eye towards Florida, we continue to keep all in her path in our thoughts and prayers. As our shipmates who are still dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey are well aware, these powerful storms leave their mark long past their departure.
That being said, in spite of the difficult weather, ANSO is moving forward with our 2017 Eastern Region Symposium (ERS). The ERS will take place at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut on September 12 and 13. If you haven’t already, I encourage you to register to attend what promises to be a packed two days of mentorship and collaboration.
As a reminder, for those looking to help those in need, this link is a helpful resource in the wake of the storms. Checking on Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) is a great way to ensure your donations are shared with maximum impact, to those who need the assistance.
