In order to ensure maximum engagement in throughout the event, and because we will have panels taking place concurrently, we have created multiple Q&A rooms using the Slido platform. Our moderators and volunteers will monitor the rooms and will ask the questions to our panelists in the respective rooms when appropriate. Please refer to the agenda for the event that you would like to participate in and follow the instructions below. Thank you for your participation and engagement!
Instructions for Submitting Questions via Slido:
Welcome to the 2024 Joint Symposium! To make sure your questions get addressed, please follow these steps to submit them via Slido:
- Access Appropriate Q&A Room:
- Take a look at the agenda, join the event, and select the appropriate room from the list of panels and meetings.
- Enter your Rank, Last Name, Service, and status (Ret, Res). Prior service or civilians please enter your name as you would like to be addressed, followed by status (Veteran, Civilian, GS, Spouse, etc), and your service affiliation (USN, USMC, etc). You will have the option to ask questions anonymously if preferred. If a senior leader does not have time to address your questions during the Q&A period, we will be forwarding questions to their staffs to get you an answer.
- Submit Your Question:
- Once you’ve entered the appropriate event page look for the section labeled “Q&A” or “Ask a Question”.
- Type your question into the text box provided.
- Click the “Send” button to submit your question.
- Vote on Questions:
- You can also vote for questions submitted by others. This helps prioritize which questions get answered first.
- Simply click the thumbs-up icon next to the questions you find most relevant or interesting.
- Be Professional, Specific, and Clear:
- For the best chance of your question being answered, make sure it’s professional, clear, and specific.
- Avoid multi-part questions and focus on one topic per question.
- Check for Updates:
- Keep an eye on the Slido page for updates and responses to your questions during the panel discussion.
- Technical Issues:
- If you encounter any issues accessing or using Slido, please notify the event support team or reach out to the moderators.
